My friend Devon lent this book to me a while back. Also, to be honest, I did not finish this book until today, May 4. This was a really worthwhile read – it’s nonfiction, and it’s about the way that ordinary employees can go above and beyond in their positions and do innovative things in their roles, and how organizations can foster this. It really made me think about my job, and what I can do in my current position to make impact. Some of those things are internal – how can I influence our curriculum, how can I improve my practice and my classroom. Some of those things are external – how can I impact other people I work with, how can I build relationships between my school and my community.
