Links for Friday, April 5

I am going to here! FLdub, in Chicago.

I missed two posts this week.  It’s finals time, and I have a big project that’s nearing the due date.  I’m hoping to get at least one post up next week, but posting may be irregular until the beginning of May.  In May, everything will be wonderful.

This was the most tweeted/facebooked/linked article from the New York Times at some point this week.  Basically, INNOVATION.  It matters. It matters now, and it’s only going to matter more in the future, so if you don’t want to be sad and alone, you best get good at it, and schools better get good at teaching it.

This blog post is about your lifestyle, and how most of it has already been decided for you.  If you went to school, have a job, buy stuff – do you know why you’re doing that?  Are you choosing to do that?

Roman Mars is going to be speaking at this FLdub* temple near Chicago, and I AM GOING THERE. It’s going to be amazing.  Tickets are still available, so you can come and hear him talk too!  Yay!
I am VERY EXCITED about this.

*FLdub.  That thought just…it’s coming out.  I’m really sorry to say it, but I always think of Frank Loyd Wright as FLdub. Ugh.  I’m going to hide in a corner now, because that is just plain shameful.

Interestign artice on lifestyle. What is your solution? Perhaps we just need to get to a point where staying home on Friday night reading is a good thing.

I think the solution is figuring out what you want to do – not what other people want you to do, not what you think you should do.
