Born a Crime

I really enjoyed this book, and it was a compelling, entertaining read. Born a Crime painted a scene of what it was like for Trevor Noah to grow up under apartheid, with a mother who was an amazingly strong and determined woman, a father who he saw only a few times, and an abusive stepfather. It’s fascinating to read about Noah’s story of how he started burning CDs and working as a DJ, and used that to start to build a career for himself.
